MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, his smash hit of 2016, earned him the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. He released his debut long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. It reached number 8 in the Top Latin Albums chart. He then joined Ozuna on their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel on Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina in the following year. In 2021, he also performed the duet for TINI's streaming smash single Maldita Foto. The year 2023 was when the cult hit La Bachata was released. Turizo is a product of a family of musicians both his parents also are musicians. Interviews with him have described participating in music as compulsory. Growing up, he taught how to perform on the piano, saxophone as well as guitar. Although his first choice of career was to become a veterinarian His brother Julian got him to attend lessons in singing with a Cuban teacher and the end outcome of discovering his talents as a musician changed his entire life.
