Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. As a child, she was inspired by Boleros, classical music and the traditional romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana is a fan of Tangos. Also, she loves operas as well as any drama. She started singing and studying music with her mother, then began more intense singing training at the age of 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of a variety of chamber and opera choirs. After 2000, she emigrated to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer with the traditional Latin American music at private events. She is passionate about performing, music, and the arts keeps active in community projects for both an artist as well as a teacher. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her love and enthusiasm for the traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to inspire a passion to, particularly in the younger age group, to help keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
